For your consideration…

It would be interesting to know what everyone’s first thought is when we think about power. What is the first thing that comes to mind?

We are reminded of the phrase, “Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Abe Lincoln had thought about it when he said, “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

Like anything else, power can be good or bad. It is the intention that makes all the difference. We see this in governments. We know that the peoples of any country are like every other. They love their family and want what is best for them. They love their neighbors. They have generous hearts. It is the governments’ thirst for power and control that interrupts that love for all mankind… creates boundaries. It is not power that is bad, it is the abuse of power…how it is used…the intention that makes it bad.

On the flip side, power that is used for the highest good of all…power that comes from Spirit…power with loving intentions…can make all the difference. It can mend bridges, heal hearts, create prosperity, and inspire ingenuity…it is absolutely limitless.

We recognize power for what it is. We see its truth by what it does and how it feels. Power that is for the highest good resonates with our Spirit and encourages our own personal power to jump into action.

Power is not bad. It is when it is used with greedy, jealous, selfish, and hurtful intentions that it corrupts. Like Abe Lincoln said it negatively affects a person’s character.

Conversely, when power is used with the generosity of a loving and kind Spirit, its power knows no bounds or limitations. Our Univers is calling all Lightworkers to use their personal power for their highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am love.”

-Affirm…”I will use my personal power for the highest good of all.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Shannon.

-Mary, Kathy, and I scouted out the venue for Hilary’s shower and we know our plans.

-Then out to breakfast.

-Alex and Conner visited. Alex is very organized and has taken on putting together a slide show that can run in the background of Bruce’s celebration.

-I talked her into letting me keep Conner and Moose for the night since she had to be back in this area in the morning anyway.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
