For your consideration…

We are reminded today that we are born with a life toolbox containing everything we need to fulfill our life purpose. But like every other toolbox, it is up to us to pick up the tools and use them. The more often we use them, the better we are at using them.

Dreaming is a tool in our life toolbox. It is like an “internet” connection to our Guidance. It is on and constantly downloading but we have to choose to use it. When we do, we receive lots of Guidance.

Some of us are great at remembering our dreams. My husband is like that. But some of us have difficulty doing it. It is important not to judge ourselves. If we only remember bits and pieces, that is ok. We can still work with those. The goal is to remember as much as we can and then figure out what they mean. We can do that with even just bits and pieces. The very best book to help us do that is by Betty Bethards called The Dream Book.

If we are not remembering our dreams, we can do a process to help us. First, we should always have a dream journal and pen by the bed. If we wake up during the night, even if not fully awake, we can write things down. Second, before going to sleep we can sit on our bed and declare, “I want to and will remember my dreams.” Takes some deep breaths and repeat it a couple of times.

When we wake up, write down everything you remember as soon as you wake up. You don’t have to analyze it all right then but we do need to get it written down.

Dreams are valuable tools. They direct us. They can show us what is bothering us. They encourage us. And when we get really good at remembering them we can use them to problem-solve.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-We can ask the same thing of our dreams.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Catching up with Alex. They are checking out a town in Montana that was recommended to them. They are staying a couple of days until they resume their trip home.

-I had ordered some Pampered Chef products. My friend sells it and her husband does remodeling. She called yesterday and said she would have him drop it off and while he was here could install my new smoke detectors. I’m so thrilled.

-I also had reached out to a grade school friend, Marty, for a picture I wanted for my Storyworth. She looked and did not have one but knew who else to reach out to and YEAH they sent me just what I was looking for.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
