For your consideration…

When we hear words matter, often our first thought is about sparing the feelings of others. We often think about how not to be hurtful. Or perhaps we regret our choice of words. Yeah, we get it…words matter.

But our message today is not about that. It is about the impact of words on energy. Our words carry the energy of our intention. If we are angry, they carry that anger. If we are happy, they carry our joy. If they are loving, they carry our love.

If we are wishy-washy, they carry a wishy-washy unclear energy. Sometimes this is a strategy. We have all been around people who use their words to deliberately muddy the water. They use their words to beat around the bush. We walk away with no clear answer to the questions we seek. We don’t know where we stand. We may wonder what just happened.

Being specific with our words makes our intention clearer. Being specific with our words, makes our HOPEs and dreams clearer. Consider the words, “when” versus “if.” Do you see the difference? Do you feel the difference? “If” is wishy-washy. “When” carries certainly. The difference in these words is as different as “I know” or “I don’t know.” We just don’t see them that way.

Today is just a suggestion…a little nudge…to consider choosing the words we use more carefully.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Consider our words and choose them wisely.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Mindfulness class.

-Catching up with Kathy, Mary, and Lori.

-Some cards made.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
