For your consideration…

Dibs…you’re it. I pass it on.

I love when our message comes in via a song, even when I wake up with it…unless it is annoying. Yup, I’m passing it on to you. It is the Westside Story song by Leonard Bernstein, “I Feel Pretty.”

“I feel pretty
Oh so pretty
I feel pretty and witty and gay
And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me todayI feel charming
Oh so charming
It’s alarming how charming I feel
And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I’m realSee the pretty girl in that mirror there?
Who can that attractive girl be?…” and on and on it goes.

The song is light, bright, and joyous. And so is the feeling of our message today.

We are reminded that our attitude is a big deal. It influences everything. AND…It is under our control. Our personal power controls our attitude. We get to choose what it will be. We get to decide the feeling of this moment, this day.

Annoying as the song is. I gratefully choose its gaiety, its joy for my Monday.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Choose HOPE and Joy.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Catching up with both my girls.

-Bare feet on Mother Earth grounding myself.

-Shrubs trimmed back.

-A good morning walk in the sunshine with Louie.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
