For your consideration…

Remember in the movie Forest Gump when he said, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.?”

We can ponder and think, overthink, run every scenario we can think of and end up back at the same place with no clear answers. We can not see or know what tomorrow will look like. We can not know specific outcomes. Life is simply too big. There are too many moving parts. There are too many changes that have to be made. And much as we would like to, we can not take all of life on. The job is too big for us.

What we can take on and manage is our piece of it. We can take that next step even though, like in the box of chocolates, we can’t be sure what we are going to get. But like in the box of chocolate, we can decide what to do with that piece/step. We have the choice on what to do with it. We can decide we like it and continue to move on from it. Or we can decide to choose a new piece/a step down a different path.

The point is that we just need to get out of neutral and make a decision, take that step into the unknown.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be brave, take a step into the unknown.

What made me smile yesterday…

-The rain stopped and it was warmer than expected.

-Lisa came and sat with Bruce so I could get out.

-How can you look at your watch and in what seems like minutes, 4 hours have gone by? I had a great time lunch with Jackie at the Watermark.

-Catching up with Alex, Mary, and Kathy.

-A good book and an early bedtime. And look how early our blog is done. Wahoo.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
