For your consideration…

Our message today is very light-hearted. I just couldn’t resist this picture because it reminded me of my youngest daughter, Alex. When we lived in Poland we had these radiators, and truly they are one of the things she missed most when we came back to the states. Every morning she would put her clothes on them to warm up before she put them on. She would put her bath towels on them to be warm when she got out of the bath or shower. She would put her boots, mittens, coats, etc. on them to dry. She just loved them.

When our body gets cold, we put on socks, slippers, extra clothes, blankets, drink something warm. We know what we need to make ourselves warm and toasty.

Our message today reminds us that when our spirit gets cold, we need to do the same. What makes our spirit warm and toasty? Perhaps it is catching up with friends and family, laughter, cuddling with our pet, a cup of coffee with a good book, hugs and kisses, etc. It seems like we had a similar message a few days ago so even though light-hearted, we are strongly being urged to take care of our spirit.  I love this Maxine Lagace quote on spirituality:

Spirituality: The art of keeping your internal fire alive.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Stay warm and toasty inside and out.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Conner had excellent visits with PT and the pediatrician.

-Catching up with Jackie, Alex, and Shannon.

-Some crafting done.

-A great new recipe.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
