For your consideration…

I don’t know about you but when I get into bed at night I am already thinking about what needs to be done the next day. I formulate a plan of action. Or I rehash what did or didn’t get done during the present day.

Our message today tells us that is wrong thinking. We should, as suggested yesterday, focus on what we are grateful for. Today’s message gives us an example. Think about those days ie; Christmas, birthday, having special company, going somewhere, vacations, etc. Remember how excited we are for those days to come. Perhaps, they turn out exactly as we HOPEd or perhaps not, perhaps better than we expected.

Today we are given this suggested task. When we go to bed, be excited for what tomorrow is going to bring. Be excited for the surprises. Expect them. In gratitude and excitement, we set ourselves up for a wonderful tomorrow.

I’m making myself a sticky note and putting it by my bed. I am definitely trying this.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“i am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Prep ourselves for an exciting tomorrow.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Sunshine.

-Mary and Don came for dinner.

-I finally got my haircut.,..wahoo.

-Catching up with Alex and Jackie.

-A good mystery.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
