For your consideration…

I loved this image because as I received the message I thought to myself, “What a wonderful message for a Sunday.” The above image is relaxed and peaceful exactly how the feel of our message was as it came in.

I bet many people are just like me. When I worked, I stressed on Sunday about what I had waiting for me to do at work on Monday. I wasted 50% of my weekend planning out my Monday. When I retired, Sunday became my very favorite day because I no longer had to worry about the dreaded Monday. Today we are asked to stop worrying about tomorrow.

Of course, we know that time does not standstill. There really is no way to pause or stop time. But we can choose how we handle it. We can choose our reactions to it. And that is what today’s message is about. It wants us to put fear, anger, worry, all negative feelings on “pause.” Turn them over to our Guidance and just relax into our day. Imagine that we are taking a chill-out pill. Just relax. Enjoy our day doing what makes us feel good ie; a movie, a book, a cup of coffee or more, some laughter, catching up with friends, etc.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Chill out.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Esther, a new caregiver for Bruce, came early and let me get a day off.

-I started at the Eastern Market. After decades of going there, it still never gets old. I loved the people, vendors, smells, everything about it. A trip to the Eastern Market is never complete without getting Wigley’s corned beef and sausages for the sausage vendor, and visiting some other stores.

-I found a great bell. I HOPE I don’t learn to regret it but I am often frustrated hearing Bruce scream my name to get my attention at the other end of the house. Fingers crossed the bell is the solution.

-I meat my friend, Jackie, at The Dime Store for brunch. I could not believe how packed it was. There was an hour wait but it turned out that our timing was perfect.

-We made it to the Fisher Theater in perfect timing. We saw “Hairspray.” It was high energy and fun.

-Alex and James are actively looking for a house in Michigan. They may put a bid on one today.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
