For your consideration…

First of all, it is emphasized that we all need to stand firm in our power. No one is expected to be a doormat to maintain peace. That is not what today’s message is about.

Today we are asked to reflect on the how. Perhaps in the past, we have aggressively stood firm. We have stood firm is words and actions leaving no doubt where we stood. It was necessary. There was a time and place for it. Suspend judgment on it. It was needed.

We are asked today to consider if there is another way. We have demonstrated our strength to ourselves and others. Can we find another way to stand in our power for what we believe and feel to be true and necessary? Can we meditate/pray on issues and ask for Guidance? Can we let things unfold with a natural flow? Can we Guide versus battle?

As I pondered today’s message, I was reminded of a conversation I had yesterday with my friend, Dianne. I was reminded on how I felt as we talked. She was messaged a very provocative, nasty, Facebook message from a long-time friend of ours. Clearly, our friend did not need to randomly do this. It was politically motivated. We can have different beliefs without attacking each other. It was unnecessary and uncalled for. Of course, rightfully so, Dianne felt attacked. That left her with a choice. She could engage and counterattack. She could defriend him. Those are natural reactions for a strong person to have. But she chose to go above and beyond and be even stronger. But she chose to go above and beyond and be even stronger. She chose to absolutely ignore our friend. She chose to shut the negativity down.

Is there a better and gentler way to move forward towards our life purpose? Gentler does not mean weaker. Indeed, it can be stronger.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

=Ask our Guidance for the best way.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Conner’s first passport picture and Alex’s comment with it.

-Catching up with Alex, Dianne, Jackie, and Mary.

-A good book.

-Tasks done. Ready to get to work downstairs.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
