For your consideration…

Our message today is “Reduce to the lowest common denominator.” Of course, this is not a math message. It is a little piece of wisdom to help us navigate life.

Some would say, “Never reduce. Live life to the fullest.” And certainly, there is a time for that, perhaps most times. But that is not what today’s message is about. Today’s message is targeting those times in our life when we have problems…all kinds of problems. Whether it is task-related, relationship-related, health-related, etc., it can help to reduce the problem to its lowest common denominator. Break it down.

For instance, let’s think about an argument. We have all been there. An argument starts over one thing and then over the course of it in our quest to be right, we through in all kinds of “stuff” that have nothing to do with the original argument. This is a good example because we know that is not a good problem-solving solution. We know adds to the original disagreement.

Our message today tells us that if we really want to fix something, we need to reduce down to the lowest common denominator…the root.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Reduce down to the real issue.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Lots of grocery shopping done. It felt so good not to have to hurry because Jody is here.

-I have a Netflx buddy. We started a new series.

-Finished a good book.

-Catching up with Jackie and Alex. Jackie’s friend Sheila has a good resource for me to try to get some more help here.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
