For your consideration…

I had to laugh when I got this message today. Only yesterday…I think…I was telling my friend, Jackie, that I feel like I am not getting anything done. I get up early and before I know it the day has gotten away from me. I feel like I have a lot to do but am not accomplishing much.

This happens sometimes to all of us. We have periods when we get a lot done and other times not so much. Sometimes we just need the downtime. But sometimes we get used to it can’t find our way back to productivity. Sometimes we just don’t know where to begin. Whatever the reason for our procrastination, the way out of it is “chunking it out.” Pick one step, one thing, one piece and get it done. It doesn’t have to be big. The important thing is that we get it done and the feeling of accomplishment back. That feeling of accomplishment is the cure for procrastination.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Ask…what is tha piece I can chunk out and accomplish.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day…sun…not so hot I needed to turn on the air.

-Catching up with Jackie.

-A good book.

-You are never too old to learn. I love my new barbeque and am turning out some good meals.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
