For your consideration…

We often are reminded to look for signs. Today it was not hard. A dandelion fluff of seeds flew right in front of my face and kind of hovered until I acknowledged, “I got it.”

“I got it,’ means I understand it is the message but I have to research and meditate more to figure out what, in this case, the dandelion seed is telling us.

It should be noted that just the seed showed up. I didn’t see any dandelions anywhere. There is no telling how far it has traveled to be in that exact moment. Again, this speaks to the miracles that surround us each and every day. As children, we pick dandelions, make our wishes and blow the release the seeds to go do their magic.

In nature, the dandelion holds on to its seeds until there is a slow and steady breeze…not a big wind…slow and steady. That enables them to travel the farthest. That is part of our message today. It isn’t always the big things that matter the most and gettest us the farthest. It is the slow and steady, little moments, that get us where we need to be so we can handle the big moments.

Often we think of the dandelion as a pesky weed. We are reminded today that the dandelion has deep roots and is filled with many vitamins and minerals. They spread quickly. The second part of our message today tells us to look beneath the surface and beyond little difficulties to see value and beauty and blessings we aren’t seeing.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look beneath the surface beauty.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A good book.

-Cleaning out some recipe books. That may seem like a task but fun for me.

-A good walk.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
