For your consideration…

I will say it first because most of you know by now how my personal beliefs. If the other half of the population (women) were given their freedom and were full participants in the business of the world, there would be peace….just saying. That’s my 2 cents. However, that is not the message I was given for today.

Our message today reminds us of catastrophes. Specifically, think of every time there is a catastrophe and how people come together both in our own country and others. Why is that? It is in the destruction and chaos that we see our own vulnerabilities. We see our common ground. There is no discussion on whose life matters because we know in our hearts that all of them do no matter the color, age, religion, or nationality. In a state of emergency, we remember our love for each other and life. Our priorities are clear. We know our common bond is love.

The question is, “Why does it take a catastrophe or significant event for us to remember and come together?” Can we just remember that only love is real for each and every one of us? That is how we achieve peace.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“Only love is real.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Louie got his first professional grooming. Let’s just say, “He survived.” He looks handsome.

-Catching up with both of my girls. Shannon had me really laughing.

-A good book.

-Julie stopped by, “Sorry I’m late. I forgot my phone and couldn’t call.” she says. To which I replied, “No problem, you are a day early. We’re going out tomorrow night.” I guess this is what you call senior moments.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
