For your consideration…

I have a lot of cardinals in my yard. Today one showed up and stood on my shephard’s hook until I acknowledged it as a message.

Often my Mom comes in via a cardinal to remind me she is close and still very much a part of my life. Today she is present to put an exclamation point…on the message.

In Ted Andrew’s Animal-Speak book, he lists this as the cardinals KEYNOTE: Renewed Vitality through Recognizing Self-Importance.

Each and every one of us is important. Our life purpose is important. The role we play is important. It is easy to forget that. We see others as important but often minimize ourselves.

Today’s message asks us to remember our importance and to take care of ourselves. We are asked to live a healthy lifestyle by taking care of our body, mind, and spirit. Diet, water, exercise, joy, peace and quiet, laughter, color, music, friends, family, spending time in nature, bare feet to Mother Earth, deep breaths in fresh air, etc. are all not only good for us but necessary for our health and well-being.

If we listen to ourselves, we know the what, when, and hows of feeling healthy. The cardinal today asks us to pay attention and follow-through.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am important.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take care of yourselves. Live a healthy lifestyle.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A good rain.

-Sunshine in the afternoon.

-A good dinner celebrating Kathy’s birthday.

-Sitting outside visiting.

-Lots of business done.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
