For your consideration…

I admit that I still have a long way to go on anger management. I am not one to shy away from speaking my mind and I am definitely not a doormat. I could focus on that but instead, I choose to focus on how far I have come. I have made amazing strides.

I say this to point out the main part of today’s message. Yes, it is about managing our anger. But the key to it is about focus.

Anger, like anything else, is energy. Like anything else it attracts itself….what we put out comes back. So the longer we rant our anger, the longer it stays with us or even grows. So we have to ask ourselves is this what we really want. How does this feel? How is this working for us?

Our message today tells us that it is good to express our anger. It is good to let it out. We shouldn’t judge ourselves. But once expressed, we need to let it go. How? Change our focus. Just like in Lamaze during childbirth. We need to focus on something positive, something that makes us happy, something that brings us joy. That focus will change our energy and attract back to us the peace that happiness creates for us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Manage our anger versus letting it manage us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Julie jumping in and helping me out.

-Vicki and Julie staying with me and having dinner to help wind down a rough day.

-A beautiful sunshiny, warm day.

-Catching up with family and friends.

-A good book.

-Bruce’s event happened while we were still at the hospital. I am disappointed he was not able to be transported to rehab today but happy that we had the help we needed when we needed it….Divine Timing is everything.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev.Chris
