For your consideration…

It could not have been more clear today that the woodpecker wanted to come forward and bring in today’s message. He was busy this morning drumming.

Woodpeckers drumming represents the drumming…rhythm…of life. It is like our heartbeat, consistently keeping time for us as we usher from one moment to the next, one season to the next…one change to the next.

When we are given the woodpecker, our message is about more than rhythm and change…that is the how. The red on the woodpecker’s head and the strength of its skull remind us of our mental capabilities and our head chakra. The drilling they do reminds us to think for ourselves. Analyze the aspects of our lives and drill down to the truth. Only we can do this.

These days it seems like discrimination has been turned into a dirty word. But again, there is balance. The woodpecker is also about discrimination. It reminds us to be discriminative in our lives. Are we expending energy on the right mental and spiritual activities? Are we focused on the right things for the right reasons?

The woodpecker reminds us to think for ourselves. We have the capability. Dig deep. Don’t let others sway you unless you have done the work…analysis…yourself. Follow your own rhythm.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Follow your own rhythm. Think for yourself…about everything.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day. Once again it didn’t rain until later in the afternoon.

-A trip out to the Gordon’s to introduce Louie. He loved it.

-Kathy stopped by to meet Louie and visit. We don’t get out like we used to so it was great.

-Catching up with my Sis, Lori. and Alex.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
