Jimmy Buffet

For your consideration…

I love this Jimmy Buffet song. It is one of my favorites. Bruce has a shirt with this saying on it.

Our message today is light-hearted to a point as is refers to this song. But our message started out about “flighty” people. We often refer to people who are constantly changing their mind as flighty. Indeed it can be true that there are people who seem to operate on shifting sand and can never make up their mind.

However, today’s message tells us that is not what most people do. Most people are not flighty or the opposite too obstinate to change. Most people, reasonable people, have changes in attitudes. Living life experiences reflects in our attitudes. As we gain experience, we gain information that can alter our attitudes…a little or completely and everything in between.

As we mature we realize that we are constant learners and we apply what we learn to life and adjust our attitudes and opinions accordingly. As we make attitude adjustments our intentions adjust as well. As our intentions change so does what we manifest.

We are reminded to live from the authentic self, open to learning, growing, changing, adjusting as we go.

Oh…as Jimmy says…laugh.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…”I am learning and growing adjusting my attitudes and intentions along the way.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Meditate/.pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

What made me smile yesterday…

-A visit to the Panama City Farmers Market…last week we didn’t have time to get through it all. Yesterday, the rain drove the vendors away forcing us to tour the area.

-Randy, Michelle, Cathy and I played Yatze. It’s been awhile but was lots of fun.

-Lots of fun conversation.

-Hearing from Alex and James.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
