For your consideration…

I love that today’s message came on a Sunday because I feel we are more open to pause and really give it some thought.

We all know what repenting means. How we view it and accomplish varies on our upbringing, belief system, and/or religion. None of that matters for today’s message.

All of us have done things we wish we had not. We wish we could take them back but we cannot. Instead, we are left to repent and asked for forgiveness. Our message today tells us that there are two very important parts to repenting.

The first is that we repent, ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart, then let it go. Trust, believe, know that your God has heard and handled it. Our slate is clean. He heard us the first time. There is no need to revisit it over and over again.

The second important thing about repenting is that we learn from the experience. We grow and become better people because we learned our lesson.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Repent and let go.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A chill day.

-Catching up with Jackie and Cathy.

-A good book.

-Some book sorting.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
