“When you discover or rediscover something that

nourishes your soul and brings you joy,

care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.”

Jean Shinolda Boden

For your consideration…

I love this message. Again, it is so appropriate for the time and season. We are given a simple task. We are asked to pause and think about what brings us comfort and joy. It is appropriate that we do this at the changing of the seasons because they are not necessarily the same things.

For instance, one thing that will always be on my list is hot coffee…no matter the season. Hot chocolate is only on my winter list. Sitting cuddled up in a blanket with my coffee is a fall/ winter list item. Of course, reading is on my list for every season as is spending time and catching up with family and friends. My food preferences definitely change with the season.

We are all different. We are asked today to take a moment. Think about what we are grateful for. Think about what brings us comfort and joy. Jot them down. Keep the list handy for when you need a pick me up. Or better yet, make it a habit to treat yourself every day.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Pamper ourselves with what brings you comfort and joy.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Fun with my young 5’s.

-Sun for the part of the day I had to be out.

-A quick nap before dinner.

-Zoom PJ Party with Dianne, Vicky, and Jody.

-A good mystery.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
