For your consideration…

I think probably every one of us desires harmony in our relationships. And probably every one of us has hit bumps in the road big and small, petty and not so much, bruised egos, hurt hearts, etc.

HOPEfully, most likely, we try really hard to mend relationships with our spouse, children, parents, and other family members. We probably try to keep the peace with coworkers, friends of friends, our children’s friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. We may try to modify our behavior, apologize. overlook things we feel done to us, walk away, use the silent treatment, etc. to help keep our relationships harmonious.

But sometimes, none of these things work or we are tired of trying to make them work or we just don’t know what to do anymore. That is what today’s message is about. We are told today that when we don’t know what else to do, we should not be embarrassed about it. We should be open to asking for help. Whether it is through a mediator, clergyman, doctor, friend, counselor, spiritual guide, our Guidance, we are asked to reach out and seek help. If we have hurt feelings or we are angry, that means we are invested in the relationship. Otherwise, it would not matter.

Part of keeping our relationships harmonious is seeking help when needed.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am worthy of love.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day and night.

-Some crafting done.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
