For your consideration…

Our mind is a gift. As such, we get to do with it what we want. We determine how we feed and grow it. We determine how we want to use it. We don’t think about that much because we live much of our life on automatic but today we are asked to spend a moment thinking about it.

A determined mind can accomplish just about anything. So it bears some thought on just what that is. We can let our mind become slack and lazy…underutilized. We can use it frivolously. We can use it for our highest good and the highest good of all. Most of us do all of these things at one time or another.

However, most of us would like to use our minds to make a difference in the world. To do that we have to pay attention to what we are feeding it. Where are we getting our information, our values, our opinions etc.? That matters. Is our mind being fed by our ego or our heart? Again, if we are going to unleash the power of our determined mind, that matters.

So that leads us to the question, “How do I know what is powering our mind?” We ask the simple question, “Is it true?” Do we know it to be true? Does it feel like love? Does it feel like it is coming from a loving place even if it is not something we want to hear and know?

We are reminded today that only love and truth are real. That is what we should be feeding our determined mind.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Try to get your bare feet on Mother Earth for at least a few moments.

-Feed your determined mind with what is real…love and truth.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Another beautiful day. The energy in the house feels so much lighter, cleaner, and fresh.

-Catching up with Shannon, Cathy, Alex, and Jackie.

-A good book although it is taking me a bit to get through it.

-My new face masks finally came. I have been using the masks you use for sanding because it was all we had. These will be much more comfortable.

-Bruce has a new favorite pair of shorts that he got for his birthday. When I tell him I have to have them to wash them, he gets mad. I thought, “enough of this” and ordered 2 more pairs. I ordered them Friday and they were here yesterday. Wowsers.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
