For your consideration…

We might think that we can not turn our feelings on and off like a light switch. It can be difficult to be sure. Our message today acknowledges that but points out a couple of things to think about.

We control the light switch. First we control what it controls. Secondly we control when to operate it.

We may not be able to stop our feelings. That fact is, we shouldn’t want to. But we can promote those that are adding HOPE, joy, peace and love to our life….keep that switch on. When we have feelings that are weighing on us, we can try to turn them off. If that is not possible, we can simply reassign the light switch. If it is sad, we can assign it joy by programming it with something that always brings us joy. We can reassign anger, to blessings. We can reassign hate to love. We can reassign hurt to healing. You get the picture. When something is eating at us, we need to turn it off before it consumes us. We need to replace it with positive energy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.” “I am love.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Practice assigning light switches in your life and remember they have an on and an off. Practice using them.

What made me smile yesterday….

-The gulf has quieted down but you can still hear the surf.

-Catching up with Alex. Her and Moose continue to have great adventures.

-Shopping done.

-I found the most beautiful tomatoes since fall. I can not wait to make a caprese salad.

-I love my aqua aerobics class.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
