For your consideration…

The above is a Maya Angelou quote. Of course, it is about the bible verse:

Ask and you shall receive,

Search and you swill find,

Knock and the door will be opened to you..so

Mathew 7:7

I love Maya’s quote because it takes the verse to the next level…be prepared. Be prepared to receive what you ask for. That means that once you ask, you have to keep your heart, mind, eyes and ears open to receive what you asked for.

I laughed when this message came in because I was reminded of an incidence that happened to me just last night. My friend, Jody and I were driving around trying to find a parking place downtown. We have a festival going on so parking is tough. I had a spot I knew we could park at but it was a bit far so it was a choice of last resort. I said to Jody, “Well, we’ll just have to leave this up to the parking angels” About a block later Jody says, “Right there, right there.” Sure enough, two doors down from where we wanted to be there is a big parking spot. Jody, was pretty impressed and I was too but the thing was I didn’t really see it until she said something.

That’s the lesson today. Our Guidance is always ready…eager…to be called upon for help. They want to be part of our everyday life not just with big things but little things as well. We have to do our part, ask and then be alert for the response. They can’t help us if we are diligent about receiving their response.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Ask for what you need in all things big and small.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A beautiful day. Hot day and cool night.

-A relaxing day.

-Drinks and conversation with Bob, Jimmy, Bonnie and Jody….

-…And some interesting characters.

-Fixed our phones.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
