For your consideration…

I keep thinking we have had this message before, even recently. Perhaps I missed something or someone else needs this message today. For whatever reason, I will follow the direction and deliver it today.

We are told to live in the moment, to be ever-present in it, to make it all it can be. So how does reflection figure into this. Isn’t it a conflict? Today’s message clears that up.

Reflection can either be productive or unproductive. It is the intention that makes that determination. When we reflect with judgment, recrimination or wallow in guilt and beat ourselves up, reflecting has no value. It simply ruins the moment we are in and set up the next for the same.

On the other hand, reflection with the intention of learning and growing is much different. It is noticing, what went well, what didn’t and how we can be better….replacing judgment with gratitude.

HOPEfully the difference is very clear because reflection in the positive is necessary for our growth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Reflect with positive intention.

What made me smile yesterday….

-It feels so good to get back to Tuesday morning mindfulness.

-A beautiful day.

-The last day with my young fives. It is so wonderful to see their growth.

-Catching up with Kathleen and my Sis.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
