For your consideration….

Today big waves and riptides are the analogies for life’s challenges.

We all face big challenges both good and bad. Some are of our own doing, some not. If we look at them head on they can seem daunting, too big for us. But they are not. We are up for the big wave, big challenge. We know this because it has been put in our path. When challenges look too big, we need to chunk them out. We need to break it up into smaller pieces of what we do know and what we know we can do. Our life experience has led us to this challenge. We need to remember all of our successes and failures that fully prepared us for this one.

If we fall and feel like we can not get up we need to remember the riptide. We are ok. We simply need to ride with its flow until we can get back up. It is a lesson we have learned over and over.

How we ride the wave may or may not be pretty. Our form may be lacking. But our spirit is not. Our confidence is not. We know that this challenge, no matter the outcome, will leave us with more experience and lessons to tackle the next wave, the next challenge.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Catch a wave, a challenge.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A fun school day with fun teachers.

-I have to give some thought on positive waves to teach teamwork….. being a good partner versus using it as an opportunity to be lazy.

-Lunch with Jen.

-New router bought. It is my big challenge today. I am once again going to tackle my technology issues. I can do this.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
