For your consideration…..

Storms are Mother Nature’s way of releasing pressure. We know that while they may be uncomfortable, there may be damage done, the storm will end. We will weather it. We will get to the other side. The sun will come out again.

So too it is with our life. We all have and will experience “storms” in our life. We are reminded that we will weather them. We have the power. We have the tools. We will get to the other side. We will feel the sun again.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember, storms are nothing but a little “reset.” We can do some reset our own reset button, our breath.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-We are reading some “Itsy Bitsy Spider” books. In one of yesterday’s book the spider lures different insects into her web and then eats them. Thirteen of the kiddos just sat there enthralled in the story. One of the little boys looked at me with a big smile on his face as if to say, “Oh yeah, now  here is a story.” But the best one was one of our girls, who looked at me with knowing in her eyes saying and a big smile that said, “OMG this is a kids book and the spider is killing different insect. Oh yeah, this is not how our books usually go.”

-The music teacher needed a brief moment to report on our class’ behavior. Well one of our girl’s behavior. The music teacher has a “movement song”  where students get up and move to the music and then freeze when the teacher instructs them to. One of our girls started “sticking out her booty and shaking it.” She then whips her pants down and shakes her bare booty. Yikes. You never know what you are going to get from 4 and 5 year olds.

-As I related the above story to Bruce and then Alex, we had some good laughs.

-I got a big reminder about listening to my authentic self, my gut.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
