For your consideration……

I really had a good laugh when I got this message today. I laughed because I remembered that yesterday’s message was about finding “common ground.” Remembering our common ground when we are working to find solutions and problem solving is often forgotten. It is not the first thing that we do. Too often we identify our differences first and then take our corners. Why? Because we have practice at it. We are good at today’s message……”misery loves company.” I also had to laugh because my mom used to say that all of the time.

We are all to willing to commiserate with each other. We feel justified when our victimization is justified with. We share our tales of woe and feel good when someone identifies with them. We don’t feel alone with out misery.

But here is the skinny on today’s message. We are never alone. We don’t need to add someone else’s misery to our own. It serves no purpose. It perpetuates more misery and keeps us from seeing the light of solution. Our Guidance has a solution already in place for  us. It is simply waiting for us to live the pity party and turn to them and listen.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water. I don’t know about you but it sure was easier in hotter weather.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Turn negative conversations into productive positive ones.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-I love the students I have for the next week, the schedule and the location. All of the classes are on the same wing of the school.

-Relaxing getting a pedicure and manicure.

-It was a day to marvel at mother nature. Where on earth was all of that water stored that you dumped so quickly on us yesterday?

-My Alex’s email. I know she reads my blog because yesterday she said “Mom, your blog is one of your weaknesses.” She was referring to the message. Remember, I am given the messages to deliver. I don’t get to pick them. I have to remind her that I learn from every message. And just like everyone else, struggle with some more than others.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
