For your consideration……

Today’s message is a tool. I certainly need all of the tools I can get and then practice using them. I am often not as proficient as I’d like to be. That is why today’s picture is of a ladybug. The ladybug seems so small and insignificant. Someday I will tell you the story of how it changed my life.

For today we are told that it helps to put things into the “grand scheme of things.” We are faced with challenges each and every day. Putting them up against challenges we have had in the past or the challenges of others, how big are they actually? How big are they compared to all of the blessings we have in our life?

In the scheme of things perhaps we are not where we want to be. However, we are most likely in a place way better than we might otherwise be. Usually it is because we have choices. At least those of us who live in the free world do. That alone, in the scheme of things, gives us a giant advantage.

In the scheme of things it is helpful to remember that our glass is at least half full. Could it be fuller……sure. But it is nowhere near half empty.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Chill out. Hard to do somethings but we need to try.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Ginger and I went to visit Aunt Dorothy. She was better than we have seen her in at least a year. She was talkative and glad to see us. We could understand everything she said. She was engrossed in a magazine and read us something from almost every page.

-A lazy lunch and ride back.

-Cooler temperatures.

-A surprise phone call from Alex. Wahoo. It was soooooo good to hear her voice.

-Lori and Jackie.

-I was going to Stillwater this weekend and then circumstances prevented it. I was still questioning my decision until Jackie told me there was no power. Well good thing I listened to my intuition.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
