For your consideration…..

When we were kids, stumbles were just a way of life. We jumped back up, brushed ourselves off and went on our merry way. Somewhere along our life path we begin to take those stumbles way to seriously. The fact of the matter is that we all have stumbles throughout our entire life. The question is….the message today is……what do we do about them? How do we handle them?

Do we sit and lament on how we failed and should have known better? Do we beat ourselves up, withdraw and/or become over-cautious? Do we get stuck in anger blaming ourselves or others? Do we wallow in “poor me” using the stumble as an excuse not to move forward?

Or do we pick ourselves up, accept responsibility and be grateful for the lesson learned? Do we see we’ve added to our power? Are we more confident that we can handle the next stumble and the next? Are we excited for the next challenge so we can apply what we have learned? Are we open and ready to share our experience for the benefit of others and in turn listen to theirs?

For every stumble there is already a course correction in place. Stumbles remind us we are awake and to get ready to learn. And as we were reminded yesterday, there is always help standing ready waiting for the request.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray…..be confident.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Relax and enjoy whatever life has in store for your today.

What made me smile yesterday……

-I slept in. I did not even open my eyes until 10:00….so rare for me…..so good.

-It must be the tranquility of Stillwater. Ahhhh.

-A great talk with my Alex.

-A good book.

-Sunshine.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
