For your consideration…….

Many times when we think of soul recognition, we are thinking of soul mates or people we love. Certainly, that is part of it. However, it is not the focus of today’s message.

Today’s message is about what our soul sees when they look at others….all others. Our soul recognizes thoughts, feelings and behaviors that our own soul possesses. We have been there or at least thought about being there whether we want to own up to it or not.

We are reminded of this today because those soul recognitions are constant reminders that keep us on our life path. We are reminded of those thoughts and feelings we have found counter productive and are gently steered clear of them. On the other hand, we are also reminded of those thoughts, feelings and behaviors that wisely propel us forward, onward and upward.

What our soul recognizes has purpose and is all good.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray…..Where does your authentic self want to take you? Let it bubble to the surface. Claim it.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Journal what you are grateful for. Journal what you “recognized” today.

What made me smile yesterday……..

-A particularly challenging K-1 class. I love a challenge.

-One of the 1st graders shared that his Dad has a birthday and they are going to Bill’s hot dog stand that is reopening for the season today. “Really?” (I think I scared him.) I am so glad to hear that. I will surprise Bruce tomorrow and bring him some for Superbowl Sunday.

-After constant behavior corrects and repeated expectations, my students were able to walk appropriately from one area of the school to the other. I had 2 different teachers pull me aside and say they were amazed.

-During a school assembly, it was explained to the entire school that wearing a hat indoors is not appropriate social etiquette. Love it.

-A great status email from Alex. She had been on my mind all day.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
