For your consideration……

We are headed into a season steeped with tradition. We create traditions because they provide us comfort through familiarity. Through them we keep what works, what we like, what brought us joy etc. and use them over and over again.

Today’s message asks us to keep traditions and the reason for the season in mind as we head into the holiday season. We are asked to keep them in the forefront and notice if and when they start to slip away from us.

When we start to feel burdened by tradition and we lose our joy, it is time to change the tradition. We are told that tradition for tradition’s sake defeats their purpose.

The incoming season is supposed to bring us joy, remind us to love big and bring us peace. If we have traditions that interfere with that, it is a signal that it is time they are tweaked and changed.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….

-Meditate/pray…..know your own love, joy and peace.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Create a time each day to stop and recharge your batteries.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Sweats, a blanket, a pillow and husband to help me overcome a cold that came on in minutes.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
