The Creation Of A New Earth

Art by Marie Cecile

“I Am” by Hilary Duff

I’m an angel, I’m a devil
I am sometimes in between
I’m as bad it can get
And good as it can be
Sometimes I’m a million colors
Sometimes I’m black and white
I am all extremes
Try figure me out you never can
There’s so many things I am

I am special
I am beautiful
I am wonderful
And powerful
Unstoppable
Sometimes I’m miserable
Sometimes I’m pitiful
But that’s so typical of all the things I am

I’m someone filled with self-belief
And haunted by self-doubt
I’ve got all the answers
I’ve got nothing figured out
I like to be by myself
I hate to be alone
I’m up and I am down
But that’s part of the thrill
Part of the plan
Part of all of the things I am

I am special
I am beautiful
I am wonderful
And powerful
Unstoppable
Sometimes I’m miserable
Sometimes I’m pitiful
But that’s so typical of all the things I am

I’m a million contradictions
Sometimes I make no sense
Sometimes I’m perfect
Sometimes I’m a mess
Sometimes I’m not sure who I am

I am special
I am beautiful
I am wonderful
And powerful
Unstoppable
Sometimes I’m miserable
Sometimes I’m pitiful
But that’s so typical of all the things I am

I am special
I am beautiful
I am wonderful
And powerful
Unstoppable
Sometimes I’m miserable
Sometimes I’m pitiful
But that’s so typical of all the things I am
Of all the things I am
Sometimes I’m miserable
Sometimes I’m pitiful
But that’s so typical of all the things I am
Of all the things I am

For your consideration…..

If you had to write a poem, song or journal entry entitled “I Am” what would it say? We are asked to think about that today. It is not a simple answer. Each of us is complex with many facets in varying degrees. Think about that. Who are you truly? What is your absolute truth? That is the first part of the message.

The second part of this message is that no matter who you are….each of us…..is exactly perfectly equipped to live our life purpose. We are asked to remember that WITHOUT JUDGEMENT. That means acceptance of ourselves and others exactly as we are. We are asked to consider that we are NOT flawed human beings. This is often where we need to draw on our faith and belief that there is a Divine Plan.

Rather than focus on our perception of lack and flaws, we are asked to look for the opportunity and gift of the moment we are in. Consider this, if everything was exactly as our perception of perfect dictates, what would be the scenario for life lessons and growth?

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray……listen to your truth.

-Drink lots of water. It helps with clarity and eliminating what you no longer need.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. It too helps with clarity and helps align you with the Universe.

-Journal….”I Am”.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Ahhhh high schoolers. Lots of laughs there. Talk about perception…..

-I finished 2 books…..yup sometimes I have one on my Kindle and a hard copy book going at the same time.

-An absolutely beautiful and perfect fall day. I, personally, wouldn’t mind if every day was just like it.

-An early bedtime. I feel like a new person.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
