For your consideration…

Whether we covet what someone else has or are super protective of what we do have, jealousy and envy are based in fear.

When we are jealous or envious, whether we realize it or not, we have made a judgment that WE are NOT worthy. Understanding that is the first step to change. There is not a shortage or lack. What someone else has does not mean that we will have less. It was not taken from us. It does not mean that we can not have the same or more. It does mean that they were open to receiving the gift.

As we were told yesterday and many other days, gifts and blessings await us each and every day. We have to believe that we are worthy and open ourselves up to receiving.

We can start with gratitude. We can make a conscious effort to look at the blessings that were bestowed on us. Recognition and gratefulness invites more of the same and readies us to notice them as they are put before us.

It is important to change jealousy and envy into a tool to help us. Whenever we notice we have these feelings, we can pull out our “choice” tool. We can choose to switch to gratitude for what we have and expectation for the blessings yet to come. We can decide to remember that our gifts will be perfect for us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use jealousy and envy as a change tool.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful hot day.

-A good book.

-A day of relaxation….

-…sort of. Bruce is having a hard time figuring out the remote. Yikes.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
