For your consideration…

We are taught to try to be selfless in our giving. It is a goal that we succeed at to varying degrees from downright selfish to giving so much of ourselves away we are left empty.

We are reminded today of the example of oxygen masks on an airplane. Instructions are always to put our own on first and then help others because an incapacitated person can help no one.

Today’s message tells us that the fulfilled authentic self has unlimited gifts to give. The more we take care of our authentic self the more gifts we have to take care of others and the more we want to.

Taking the time and making the effort to nourish our authentic self and put it in charge is never selfish. Indeed, it is an investment for all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Nourish your authentic self.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A day trip to see my Uncle Jim.

-Lobster mac and cheese.

-A good book.

-Lots of wrapping done.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
