For your consideration…

Labor Day is the day the United States of America celebrates the fruits of its labor force. Without it, the country could not exist. This nation’s extraordinary success if because of the work ethic of its citizens. It goes without saying we should pause and celebrate.

However, today’s messages here is just this, “celebrate you.” Pause and look around at the fruits of your labor….all of your labor; your children, your significant other, your home, your job, your gardens, your library, your pantry, your various skills, your pets, your career etc. We all perform many roles. We invest our time, treasure and talent in each of them. Today we are reminded to give ourselves a pat on the back, sit and take a load off, have fun…

There is a second part to the message that came in quite a bit later. It is this. As we reflect on the “fruits of our labor,” we are asked to pay attention to what has given us the most satisfaction and what we are most proud of. These are hints and clues to our life purpose.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Have a great Labor Day.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A great day in the gym.

-Our dog loved getting groomed and he looks great…should have done that sooner.

-An unexpected trip to Costco to meed Shannon and AJ. So many twists and turns,,,we just had to laugh.

-Shopping and laundry done. Ah,,,I think I am ready for the school year to start.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
