Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here
It’ll be here better than before
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone…

from “Don’t Stop” writer C. McVie

For your consideration…..

Yesterday is gone. It can not be changed.

We have today. We can impact today and tomorrow. We can control how we think about them. We can control the focus, attitude and intention.

Let me give you and example focus. Remember Monday’s message was about celebrating it rather than dreading it? For much of my life I wasted much of my Sunday dreading that the weekend was almost over. I totally lost so much potential by letting my focus be on “Ug, tomorrow is a work day.” For every moment I spent on Sunday dreading Monday, I wasted the opportunity of making Sunday the best it could be. To make matters worse, my husband was worse than I was.

Our message today acknowledges that part of today is planning for tomorrow. It is the attitude we have that is in question. If we are making tomorrow part of today, then it should be with the expectation and intention that it is going to be great, productive and more than we can expect. If we are using a moment of today, it should be the inspiration of tomorrow.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let today be the inspiration of tomorrow.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A boat ride to Neptune’s and then a hike along the beach and through the forests to a great beach.

-Swimming and floating in the clear, warm, aqua water.

-I totaled it up. Between the hike, walking into town and back for dinner, we probably walked for at more than 2 1/2 hours. I don’t think I could have done that a couple of weeks ago.

-Catching up with Jackie.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
