Mahatma Ghandi

For your consideration…

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” …Mahatma Ghandi. Most of us have heard this before. And we get it to a point. As lightworkers we understand that what we do has an impact….good or bad. And if we stop, pause and really think about it, we can imagine the “pebble in a pond” effect. We can equate seeing the initial impact the stone makes and seeing the every expanding ripples to the energy of our thoughts, words and deeds. We understand how even though we can not see how far the ripple extends, we know it does. Even though we can not see the impact of our own energy, we know that it does have far-reaching impact.

Today’s message asks us to consider something else…actually remember something else. We can understand that “we must be the change we want the world to see.” That is our responsibility. That is a part of our life purpose. But we are asked to remember that it is NOT our responsibility to expect or force another to change. To do so is disingenuous. It infringes on their opportunity to grow and be the change they want the world to see or not. Anything that is less true with sincere intentions does more harm than good.

We can voluntarily join others with like views, actions and goals. Volunteer being the key word. But today we are asked to remember that being the change we want to see in the world is and individual event….a personal responsibility.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be the change you want the world to see….on moment at a time.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day full of sunshine at Whistler.

-Shannon, Will, AJ and Mac finally got her. Their travel adventures made us all laugh.

-A great dinner.

-Walks through the village.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
