Exodus 31:15
‘For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest,

holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

For your consideration…..

Our message today is about life assessment. It is about keeping what is essential to our spirit, physical and mental health a priority.

Everyday we are bombarded with competing products, people and information. There is a constant competition to reorder our priorities. Some of it is very obvious and bold but much of it is very subtle.

Our thoughts, feelings and values are stomped on and pushed aside. There is a constant attempt to replace them with those same things of others. We need look no further than the news that bombards us every day on the internet, TV and radio to see how all of this is working for us.

Our message today tells us that it is essential to our authentic self’s health that we take time out to remove ourselves from the bombardment, push away the clutter and make OUR values front and center in our life. We need to let OUR values lead the way. It is vital that we protect them and make them unwavering. It is the only way to change the world.

That is the HOPE.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Protect and promote YOUR values.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Great 4-5th graders. An absolutely wonderful class.

-My women’s circle. It feels so good to get together with these wonderful women.

-Gloomy weather made bright by joyous hearts.

-Talking to my brother bright and early in the morning. Nice way to start the day.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
