For your consideration….

Wow, truth seems to be in front of everything this week. Today we are given yet another aspect of it. It ties truth and judgment together. Our message was exactly this, “Generalities is like judgment on steroids.” Ouch, that is not good.

As we have learned authentic truth lives in the now. It is simple. All too often we are presented with generalities. And we hear them so often, we tend to accept them. Remember the statement, ASSUME (assuming makes an ass of you and me?) Generalities are assumptions. Perhaps, there is some a bit of truth in them but statistically it is not possible for them to be 100% true. Life just doesn’t work that way.

We are used to generalities. Think about it. We are being bombarded with them right not with the political conventions. That is obvious. Not so obvious is marketing. Marketing is all about generalities. Glittering Generalities use words to create a favorable image. Once we have the image, then we open to the generality and acceptance.

Marketing is a tool, it is a profession and an accepted business practice. It is used to sell and services. We tend to not recognize it when it is used in religion, education or politics because those types of organizations go to great lengths to make us believe that they are not using marketing techniques.

We are reminded today that when marketing techniques are used outside of selling goods and services, it is no longer marketing. It is propaganda. Both marketing and propaganda deal in generalities.

When we deal in generalities in religion, race, products, ideas, policies, professions etc., we are not dealing with truth let alone our authentic truth. Not only does this not serve us well, it does not serve our life purpose well and it does not serve the Universe well.

We are here to deal in truth. Our job is to search and deliver truth.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Deal in only your authentic truth.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A perfect morning.

-Little tasks done.

-We successfully got AJ a new phone. I am so glad he did not wait to show me his was broken.

-I finished a good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
