For your consideration…..

Today we are asked to examine our boundaries. What are our perceptions, life codes, beliefs etc.? They form our thoughts and ideas. But do we know where they came from?

If we stop and think about it, most of our boundaries started forming very early in life. They are handed down to us from our parents, teachers, churches. Later we gain them from our peers and the media. We pick up what seems to match the framework that was set for us.

If we stop and think about it and start unraveling the thread of our life, we would be very surprised at how little “original” thoughts we have.

That sounds depressing and scary but we are reminded that is what our ego self is about. Our authentic self is where our original self lives. We are one of a kind and all that is original comes from our authentic self without outside influence.

Our authentic self’s ideas, thoughts and actions are what we are meant to bring to the Universe. We were designed specifically to gift the world.

Parroting others is not our life purpose. Staying true to our authentic self is.

Our message today asks us to get honest and remove the boundaries, limitations and judgments that bind us and live in the now. Let them go and listen to our authentic self and what rings true right now.

Remember, we can tell the difference between ego and authentic self by asking a simple question? Does the answer feel like love? Answers that come from our authentic self feel like they are loving and supportive even if we do not like the answer or are being urged to do something we do not want to do.

Our loving, authentic self is not a carpet for people to walk on. It is strong. Love must be strong. Sometimes it requires doing tough things. Sometimes it hurts. But it can stand on its own because it has no boundaries, limitations or judgments.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?” This is a question that we ask our authentic self.

-Drink lots of water. It not only helps our body. It helps with clarity.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go our the ego’s boundaries, limitations and judgments. They come from others. They are not our own.

What made me smile yesterday….

-Enough rain to help our lawn.

-A day off I didn’t expect.

-Toes and nails done.

-It was 93 and I saw a college student walking into Walmart in a sweatshirt with the hood up.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
