“Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah)” in part
songwriters
ROSS GOLAN, ANDY GRAMMER, IAN KIRKPATRICK, RYAN JOSHUA METZGER

I’ve been grinding so long, been trying this shit for years
And I got nothing to show, just climbing this rope right here
And if there’s a man upstairs, he kept bringing me rain
But I’ve been sending up prayers and something’s changed

I think I finally found my hallelujah
I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life
Now all my dreams are coming true, ya
I’ve been waiting for this moment

For your consideration….
Wow, we seem to be getting a lot of songs for our message inspirations. I love it. The message key was “I think I finally found my hallelujah.” I knew I had heard that song and phrase recently but did not know the song. Then yesterday I heard it again and made note of the singer so I would be able to find it.
Each day we seem to be bombarded with bad news. And it is bad news. We can’t ignore the state of the world. However, there is a lot of good that goes on that is grossly unreported. We have talked about that before.
Today’s message is different. It’s focus is on the negative and on the horrific acts of violence that seem expanding all over the globe. So how does this relate to “Good to be alive?”
It is because we are reminded today that we are exactly where we are supposed to be. We are exactly what the world needs. We have been handpicked for the job, chosen to live in today’s world. We are what stands in the way of destruction so we can’t bury our head in the sand and pretend it doesn’t exist or just wish it away. No, we have to see it for what it is and be the antagonist for evil.
Why must we stand firm in love and HOPE? Because complacency seeps into the very soul of society and rots it from the inside out. Making excuses for evil is cowardly. There is no excuse for evil and we waste our time and talent making or accepting them.
We are living on earth right now to combat evil. We are here right not to stand firm in the light of love, HOPE, joy, and trust and faith that we will overcome the evil that seems to inserting itself everywhere. We are here to live our “hallelujah.”
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Live your hallelujah!
What made me smile yesterday….
-Spending some time with Mac and her baseball team in Columbus, OH.
-A late ride home. With so much road construction, I think night-time is the best time to drive.
-A great moon again to accompany my trip.
-I heard the some that has been haunting me. So it is done.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
