Throat Chakra Meditation (author unknown)

I listen with my whole self and think before I speak

When I speak, I don’t back away from what is true or right.

I share and communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

I express myself fully and creatively.

For your consideration…..

Today’s message is about our throat chakra. It is about speaking our truth as guided by our authentic self. We don’t always do that, in fact we probably let our ego do the talking much of the time. Perhaps we don’t notice the difference until we start to feel like we are choking on our words. We feel like we have to bite our tongue. When we feel like that, we need to “spit it out.” Not doing so has consequences. Messages that need to be heard are missed. Opportunities pass us by. And if we have a pattern of silencing our inner voice, we can become ill.

Why would we ever think we can not speak out? What holds us back?

There are many reasons. Somewhere along the line we felt like our voice was invalid, it didn’t matter. Maybe we were silenced as a child or as a victim. Maybe we learned it in our school experience, marriage or our job. Perhaps, we have had experiences when we spoke out, we felt people closing down or backing away.

Our voice is always valid and worthy when it comes from our authentic self…our heart. It always needs to be heard. When we find ourselves biting our tongue or choking on holding words back, we need to examine where they are coming from. If they are from our authentic self, we need to speak them. Whether they are received well or not, does not matter. When we speak the truth as guided, we have to trust that who needs to hear will. Maybe it isn’t right now. Maybe it is down the road. It is not for us to figure out or judge. Our job is just to deliver the words as guided in a kind, respectful, loving and non-judgmental way.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Listen to the sounds.

-Use your voice for good.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Lessons learned.

-Ahhh, I’m back at Stillwater.

-A reading that we have had difficulty scheduling has fallen into place.

-Dinner on the water.

-My Sis and her family is on her way home.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
