“Behind me is infinite power. Before me is endless possibility.
Around me is boundless opportunity. Why should I fear?”

For your consideration…..

We are often reminded that nothing stays the same. While we are generally unaware of it, each moment is a new beginning. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we are always aware of those “big” life transitions ie; marriage, divorce, having children, children leaving home, new jobs, career changes, death, filing for social security, retirement, moving etc.

These “big” life transitions are generally stressful even if we have chosen them. I have used this example before, “So, your child is leaving home and going to school which is exactly what you raised her to do. So why does is feel like you are cutting off your right arm?” Yes, life transitions, even if you know like you know like you know, they are right, can be stressful….even painful. At the same time they can be exciting and joyful.

That is what our message wants to point out to us. We are reminded to be gentle with ourselves and not hold harsh judgment. It is right to have a wide range of feelings during big life transitions. At the same time, we are reminded that how we transition into our “new” beginning is entirely up to us. We have the power to make it what we want it to be because we hold the power over our attitude and intentions.

I love this statement that my daughter’s boyfriend once said to her. It is a perfect example for our message today. James said, “Don’t be afraid. Be excited.”

Whether we planned them or not, when we are going through big life transitions we can decide how we want to transition. We can choose to let fear and sadness carry us. Or we can choose to grab our HOPE, faith and excitement and charge forward.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take time to catch up with yourself. Pamper you.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A successful trip with Bob and Jody to Detroit to the Restaurant Depot.

-Lunch at Roy’s.

-Beautiful weather.

-Talking with my Sis.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
