For your consideration…..

This is a unique month. We will experience a “Blue Moon.” “The phenomenon occurs once every two or three years. The last one took place on August 31, 2012. After this month, there won’t be another Blue Moon until 2018, according to the Orlando Sentinel. ” A blue moon is when there are two full moons in the same month.

Many of  us right now are experiencing very strong emotions or pulls. As the moon affects the ocean’s tide, so to it affects us as well. Today’s message brings our attention to the ebbs and flows of life.

My attention is drawn to a much earlier time of my life. I was unmarried and had no children and lived in Hawaii. Money was short but strangely it was not a problem. I met friends and we were resourceful. Rarely did we entertain ourselves by going to clubs, anywhere where we needed money. Instead we did outdoor activities that were free. One of those was visiting an uninhabited island off the Oahu coast. We did not have a boat but realized that when the tides were out we could walk to the island. So we would load up supplies and put them on a raft and out to the island we would go. The trick was to know the tide schedule. If we did not leave before the tides came back in, we would be stranded on the island and the island would be much smaller than it was when the tides were out.

I was reminded of this memory to draw our attention to ebbs and flows of our emotions and life. Knowing the “tides” and working with them  makes our life a lot easier than if we fight or ignore them. Every time the tide comes in, it brings the new and each time it ebbs it takes out what is not meant to stay.

Emotions may be becoming very intense right now. That is OK. We can not control the moon and its tides but we have a choice on how we live with them. We can honor them and enjoy the ride or we can fight them and make life more difficult than it needs to be. We have the choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Relax, accept, honor what is.

What made me smile yesterday….

-All  is back and well on my Surface Pro. I love it.

-Crafting in my basement.

-Finishing a good book.

-Hearing from both my girls.
