For your consideration….

As babies when we sought comfort and calm, there were people there to help us. As newborns we were wrapped tightly in our blankets…cocooned so we felt safe. We were rocked, crooned to and many given pacifiers to pacify us.

As we get older we are left to our own devices. We all seek and need calm and comfort. We never outgrow that need but we don’t always realize it and that can get us into trouble sometimes. Destructive behavior is often our soul calling for solace.

We are asked today to pause think about “pacifies” us. What brings us calm, comfort and solace? Is it meditating? Is is going for a walk? Is it writing? Is it taking time to stop and enjoy the view? We are asked to identify our pacifier and use it readily.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Identify what makes you “calm.”

What made me smile yesterday……

-After almost 10 months of deployment and almost a year of not seeing her, Alex is home.

-Fun with her, James and Kelsey.

-Shannon, Will, Mac and AJ also visiting.

-A wonderful view from our home away from home.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
