For your consideration…..

Our message is far different from the one in the song, “Sound of Silence.” Those lyrics are dark while our message today is light.

My husband has a saying, “They’re (we’re) knee-deep in the hoopla now.” It always makes me smile. So much of today and this evening is just that. HOPEfully many of us will be laughing and having fun in celebration and the welcoming in of the new year.

Tonight is the night we usher out  the old and welcome in the new. Into the new we carry our HOPEs and dreams.

From where do we get those HOPEs and dreams? We get them in our silence. Sure they may receive sparks and inspiration in what we see and do. But it is in our silence that those seeds are nourished, fertilized, expanded and pushed to birth.

It is important to let loose and celebrate….get knee deep in the hoopla. We deserve to let loose and just enjoy and have fun. But remember, earlier in the week we were asked to make a new year’s resolution to go into our silence. Make a commitment today to spend daily time in our silence and listen to our Guidance’s direction to our authentic self.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water especially today and tonight.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let loose and have fun. Celebrate. Be joyous.

What made me smile  yesterday…..

-Waking up to sunshine at Stillwater. Yes, it did turn cold but I don’t care as long as there is sun.

-Shopping at the Mind’s Eye and lunch with Bethie and Jackie.

-I love my gift Bethie got me. It is a hanging plaque of a Josephine Wall picture. You all know I am such a fan of hers.

-Yeah, Alex on  her latest qualifications. We know how hard she worked and what a relief it is to have completed these. Having them off of your plate and hanging over her head is a great way to start the new year.

-She sent some amazing pictures as well.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
