For your consideration……

Our message today talks about restraint. Restraint is harder for some of us than others. I would be one of those. Often it is just so much easier to get in there and fix it rather than stand back and let someone else figure it out.

Parents certainly struggle with this. Our children are born into our care and we are their protectors. It is hard to see the line and know when to cross it and intercede and when to stand back and let them learn a lesson……most especially painful ones.

I have often said, even within the last few days, why don’t our angels just shout it out or intercede for us? Today tells us why. They love us. They are here to guide us but can not prevent us from exercising our free will and making choices….even if they are bad ones. They must exercise restraint and so to must we.

We must exercise restraint and allow others to grow into their lessons. We, like our Guidance, can offer our thoughts, love and support but we must allow others to live their life based on their choices.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Remember they do not have to be all at once. They can be going to and from our car or just standing in the silence of nature.

-Remember restraint. Sometimes our job is just to be the post to lean on.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A slow and easy morning.

-A trip to Stillwater.

-All is well when there is fire in the fireplace, a blanket and good book.

-Putting Christmas gifts away into their perfect spot.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
