For your consideration……

I believe and often say, that children really do want boundaries. It makes them feel safe. They want to know the  boundaries so they test and rebel against them. It is how they grow. As adults (parents, teachers, grandparents etc.) it is our job to set and hold those boundaries. Then, when we feel they are ready for more challenge and responsibility, we expand those boundaries.

And so it is with the Universe and us. We are its children ever learning and pushing the boundaries. There are flip sides to almost everything. Technology is a great example. As great as the discovery is, there is a flip-side. Are there health sacrifices with too much phone use? How much is too much computer or gaming time? Hard work pays off but how much work is too much? The sun is good for us but too much sun is not. You get the picture.

Our message today tells us the Universe will not hand us more than we can handle. It is up to us to learn how to  balance things out. It is part of the lesson. Karen Salmanshon writes:

“Making mistakes can hurt. But on the flip-side, there is much joy and power to be found

when you apply the lessons you learned and grow your life.”

As we master what is put before us, new opportunities with their own set of challenges will be show up. It is up to  us to master them and find the correct balance for them in our life…..push the boundaries.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Push the boundaries. See the flip-side.

What made me smile yesterday……

-An easy morning at home.

-Two SKYPE calls with Alex.

-Great family time at the Gordon’s with great food.

-We love our gifts. Yes, I am aware that is not the “reason for the season” but we still love the thoughtful gifts we received.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
