venting

For your consideration……

We want to bring light and love to the world. We want to bring goodness and focus on the positive. Still we see injustice. We feel outrage at it. Can we ignore that? We need to vent.

Oh…that fine line that makes things so difficult. Being good and trying to promote goodness does not mean we are expected to be doormats. It does not mean we are to stand idly by and watch injustice run rampant. It does not mean we stand by and let evil triumph.

So then how do we handle the negative and evil that comes across our path? How do we handle it and still stay positive and good?

It goes to intention. We must be acting in the best interest and protection of the highest good, not selfish self-interests. We can speak and act against injustice and evil but we must be coming from a loving place. We simply can not fight evil with evil. We can not fight negative with negative. Only love and light can triumph evil.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water…..note to self do this.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Remember, breath is our reset button. We can pause anytime we need to for one or more deep breaths to return a calmer place.

What made me smile yesterday……

-Fun with the kids.

-They had a new friend, Corey, that we took to the movies with us. He was so excited to go and so boisterous about it.

-Corey was the say way. When I gave some restaurant options for lunch he said, “Oh, I love Coney Island.” The boys were so excited when I suggested they have their own table. Then he comes over and says, “Can I have pancakes?” “Yes, Corey, you can have anything you want.” How fun!

-My Peanut and Taylor are so excited about starting Middle School. I am so excited for them. Peanut still needs school supplies. My favorite stores are office supplies. I really wanted to take some time and go get them for her but she wants her mom to take her. This new Middle School experience is a her and her mom “thing.” I love her for that.

-A short email from Alex.
