For your consideration……

Today’s message actually came in through another song. Following is the part of the song where our message comes from today

“I Love A Rainy Night”, by Eddie Rabbitt.

Showers washed all my cares away
I wake up to a sunny day

‘Cause I love a rainy night
Yeah, I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night
Well, I love a rainy night
Ooh ooh

I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well, I love a rainy night
It’s such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain on my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadows

Puts a song in this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time

Nothing holds us back more than self-depreciation and judgement. We all disappoint or let our self down sometimes. We are students learning and growing. While it is good that we recognize opportunities to improve through honest critic, we do ourself a disservice when we hold onto judgement.

Mother Earth needs the rain to cleanse and nourish her and we need to cleanse and nourish our soul as well. Whether it is by standing in the rain, meditating/praying, writing and burning, positive affirmations….whatever works……we need to release self-judgement and disappointment. We need to let it go so that this moment has the room it needs to be all it can be.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……..

-Meditate/pray……release all the negative that no longer serve you.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Focus on each disappointment, thank it, and release it. You no longer need it.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A little sunshine.

-An easy school day.

-A joyous heart.

-Purging time at school. I picked up a teacher’s Reading Activities Workbook for Sean. I can’t wait to give it to Jackie when she returns from vacation.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
